Ice hockey is a sport played by two teams of six players each on a rectangular shaped surface called the rink. The players, who wear ice skates, try to knock a cylindrical piece of hard, vulcanized rubber, the puck, into the opposing team's goal, placed at the end of the rink. Players use a stick with a blade at the end to knock the puck at speeds that occasionally are more than 160 km/hour.
